Back at RAF Barkston Heath yesterday -- for the first time this year. Lovely people, and huge VFM as sprints go (six practice and six timed runs over three slightly different courses in one day -- all for £50 ;) ).

Here's a lap of the clockwise "club" course...........

Just had confirmation of an entry at BRANDS this Sunday ---- off the reserves list :) No camping apparently , so will have to get up early . Never even spectated at Brands and I see from the ' finals ' that the scrutineering paddock is the other side of the track which makes it a bit tricky not to miss your slot and there's no cover :o Garages are going to be taken up by the afternoon racers
I've been spoilt at Goodwood , having a nice covered paddock slot(another reason I only sprint there the last 3 years)

It must have been subscribed very quickly after reg's were published because I sent off my cheque on the 4th August and it was full then so got put on the reserves list until yesterday. I think their problem is also the fact that there are race events in the afternoon so all sprints have to be done and dusted by 12-55am sharp :!: This means that practise doesn't start till 10-20am due to race car practise etc ;)

Good luck guys. I would like to know your times that is if you start from pit lane and do 1 3/4 laps finishing on the short straight behind the pit/paddock. It would be I have got rid of them as they were tarmac rally tires.Thats why I could not get any heat in them. I now have some soft Avons and have rejigged the back end a little. Looking forward to Debden
I was last there in 2006

Brian

Are you at Debden on the 3rd October? If so, see you there (JPSC permitting). Could be tight, as my best time is 68.01s ;)
