Striker wishbone bushes

Postby mazie » Sat Jul 27, 2024 11:21 am

Hi all

With a freshly powder coated chassis I'm on the rebuild. I want to get the wishbones repowder coated or at least the fronts as these looked poor in comparison to the clean chassis, I need to press out the old bushes before sending them off as the company don't recommend putting rubber in the oven for a few reasons, they are more concerned of run off from oil.

Where can I get replacements bushes from? I thought about poly bushing as it's mainly a trackday car plus they are easier to fit as I don't have a press.

I've tried calling Steve at fury sports cars but so far no answer.

Thanks
Russ

Keep trying Steve, or do a search on here there's a thread "Fury chassis setup 'wandering' on page 3 I have got a link to polymax metalastic bushes, that might help.

I'd link it myself but on the phone.

have kept trying and will keep trying!

https://store.avmr.com/products/bp636-2 ... 8979172423

these are the rubber type but £250 per set. BUT 2 of the 4 wishbone fixings are M12, all other 2 1/2" so assume getting to them to reem them was not possible and it doesnt look like it is.

WISBECH engineering were mentioned here https://jpsc.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=930#p6478

Hi Jester

Yes, Neil at MK can get these metalistic bushes for £10 each so going with that.

I got some from Steve many years ago (about 10 years I think) and I seem to remember they were about £10 each then so the price seems reasonable from MK.
