Actually, I completely redesigned the alternator on the gsxr1100 by adding a modern mosfet based rectifier/regulator. So my battery problems are a thing of the past and have been for ages now.

Dry ice. Oh yes. Not sure of the overheating. I made a new water temperature sensor which isn't so bulky, so hopefully that will stop it blocking the thermostat from opening, only a guess that this was the problem though. Hypothesis still needs testing.

Haven't been out in the car since Stoneleigh as I have been breaking it again and farting around too much on my bicycle too much (need to keep ahead of Pete on Strava for the year).

Would (really) like to come up to Blyton, but can't really take 2 days off work at the moment (Thurs and the likelihood of not getting home on Friday).

Now I am talking myself into it!!!!

Went to a talk at the primary school on e-safety.
Internet bullying was on their list of things to look out for..... at least I know what it looks like ;)

Anyway, I've now tested the cooling system and it is working nicely.
Lovely little drive out in the Cotswolds.

PMSL

Don't worry it'll all come back to haunt me when I set off to Italy on Thursday in a car I've just completely rebuilt the suspension on. Its had new up-rights, shocks, springs, bushes... plus tyres, brake pads... and not even gone up the street in to check it drives in a straight line.

Adi,

I thought your "5 cars have been repatriated on trips I have been on" was a bit ominous.

Good luck,

Matt

I am hoping to come along and support this, not driving but may be in Striker. If in car/van may bring club kit to support with communal area etc.

That'd be good. It'd be good to have the new dome available.

I'm thinking of camping over on Wed night and maybe doing a mini tour of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales (pos' even into the lakes) on Fri/Sat/Sun if anyone fancies it.

Might not be the club dome! Might just be my own pop up gazebo, much easier to put up!
Fancy joining you sat/sun in the dales/lakes though!
