Looking good,
make sure the filters you have on there are up to the job. The reason for the ITG filter was that Steve brougton (SBD) explained that the other filters I had on the car actually strangled it as they did not have enough air flow and that I would be better off with a dead chicken stuck up the exhaust!

Haha. Yeah to be fair another ITG type communal filter is what i want really.. i stuck the ramairs on for the moment and did a minimal cutout on the bonnet till i finally get it set up. Only got the small trumpets on for now. Moving out from where i live at the moment and need the car finished for 21st june. Well MOT ready so it can be driven. Seats land tomorrow so like a kid at christmas today!

As for the speedo. Under the pick i mentioned the bezel wasnt finished for it so thats the plan for tonight. .

Speedo Fitted, Still unsure on the column surround until i get the indicator stalk fitted, but slowly getting there, the speedo bezel may look out for the moment but it will fall into place when you see, red white red is a subtle hint of Senna Mp4/4 Marlboro.

seats arrived, fit perfect size wise, just an absolute pain to get out of gracefully! but very comfortable for a small cockpit,



gearstick surround and centre console is to be covered still,






i know to some it may appear slightly in your face, which in person it really isnt, being my first rebuild & practically winging it colour wise its came out better than i expected, my initial ideas were late 80s JPS inspired lotus renault with black/ gold pinstripe but was advsed against dark colours for fast road use,

mmm Pipercross filters dopdog, I had a set on a MkI XR2 with a pretty potent 1700XF in it, twin 45s. they sit really close to the bulkhead and trumpet socks seemed the only way really. When it went on the rollers the operator thought there was a hidden rev limiter somewhere, it wouldn't go past 3500rpm. was like 'hitting a wall' he said. Removed socks and ran through to 7k and wanted to keep going. The trumpet socks were new, Pipercross weren't interested and I'd never buy another of their products

this is what I did with the indicator arms on my old striker, just plain old escort stuff. The horn switch is a little tricky as it's a wire like a bicycle cable inner

Apologies for the late update,

Lucifer has spent the past 3 months at my brothers due to a recent house move and is no further on than it was, have 4 days off work as of this thursday to hopefully get him finished, roughly 8 hours work needed to finish it, wiring and seats need bolting down,,

hoping for MOT sat morning as a deadline.. hopefully be back online on sunday with the update!

Looking forward to hearing it run again to be fair. (especially since our previous neighbours reported us to the council for running it up to temp, hoping my brothers neighbours aren't so picky!)

great stuff will wait in anticipation of the report.

I used to run my V8 Mclaren m6 up to temp with straight pipes on, not sure if the neighbours liked it but it made a great sound

better late than never... Spent a good 16 hours over thurs and fri getting a majority of the wiring done for the engine side and instruments,

still have horn, ecu controlled radiator fan, headlights hazards,indicators and brake lights to wire in,,

My backs in absolute agony, what you get for leaning over such a low car I guess, a little vid taster of where its at,,, only video/images i took whilst working

Built a loom from scratch which proved to be a lot easier than I thought... quite impressed at a 75psi oil pressure from cold too! hopefully not much longer, and it'll be time for a shakedown

Firstly il apologis for 8 months since the last update,

Lucifer had to go into hiding for 6 months due to a few unfortunate events,, spent quite a bit of last weekend getting it out and fired up first time so cant complain

hoping to get the seats secured tomorrow , then only a few cosmetic bits to finish then should be close to shakedown for MOT.
