Tank slapper!

Postby adithorp » Sun Mar 30, 2014 10:23 pm

Having messed about fetling the tuning on my car all day at Blyton park on Friday, then joined in with a couple of the guys who'd been "on it" all day...

Think it may have been a mistake

Mistake? Nah - its only a mistake when it costs you money. That was all part of the valuable learning experience we like to call fun!!

So that'd be the cone I decapitated earlier in the day while looking at my AFR guage then. Cracked the front of my side-pod, bent the undertray and tore a corner splitter off.

Seen that happen there before in sprints -- so Adithorp was in good company. It nearly always ends up in a lot of dust on the inside of the track :o
Se7en Pervert -- by definition; I don't drive a Caterham

...but all the other guys did thank me as it made the entry to that section a lot quicker once it was gone

To be honest it was the sketchiest track driving I've done in a long time. Mistakes all over the place; Probably because I was distracted with the fueling. This one wasn't my fault though and was caused by a coolant hose burst and anti-freeze flooding out and onto the rear tyres. I make an appearance at about 1:50...

The red flag was for the Clio that spun and stalled on my a/freeze, as did the Probe at the chicane.
