Hi All
Been looking at building a kit cr for a while now and visited quiet a few shows and loooked on the net for many hours doing research.
the one good thing that draws me to the striker by raw is its about 15mins down the road from me in hereford so will be local if i have any issues when building.
been looking on the net for a while and seen a couple of build blogs but not many about or i cant find them sites or blogs wise on the striker ? sso just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of any more info on them ?
cheers
Thinking of a striker ?

Hi Gazza, and welcome to this (occasional) madhouse.
What do you intend to use the car for (ornament, everyday driver, Sunday driver, track days, sprinting, racing)?

Suggest you post your questions in the main section of this forum, and try and track down someone near to you where you can go and have a look.
Are you planning a new build ?

Terrible thing to say on this forum, Gazza, but . . . .
For the track -- a Striker every time. Fabulous handling.
For the road however, and especially as a new build, look at a Westie as well before you decide. IMHO, a more complete "kit" than a Striker (i.e. easier to build), and you'll probably end up with a car your wife/GF/somebody-else's-wife would feel more comfortable in (it's less spartan).
Having said all that, I have both -- but by next summer I'll have only one -- and it'll be the Striker.

Re: Thinking of a striker ?
cheers fr that David, but the one reason i like the striker is cause of the looks of it, i have looked and drove a few other 7 type cars (GBS Zero, caterham) but was not very impressed with either ?
one thing i am worried about is the striker is small tn these 2 and wondering f all 6ft1" of me will fit in it ok ?

Re: Thinking of a striker ?
Strikers are quite tardis-like. Admittedly with a home-made lower seat squab, my 6'2" (100+ kg) son gets into my Striker comfortably for sprinting.
What you may find is that you'll need to specify a higher roll bar when you buy your chassis. The standard one was not really tall enough to make me feel comfortable -- and I'm just under 5'11"!

You should pop into raw like jeffw said or I'm also not far from Hereford in Ludlow you can see mine anytime.
Try it for size, I looked at a lot of different cars before I bought mine. It's not a cruiser I must admit but great fun.
