While I was planning this I was also bearing in mind all the debate about the suspension hole sizes on Furys (and other JP cars). I've heard loads about them having 12mm bolts and bracket holes but 1/2" bushes with resultant play (lets not go into the reasons and effects).
So I thought seeing as I was changing the bushes (to crush tubes) I might as well put 12mm ID tubes in while I was at it. Seemed easier than reaming all the holes and getting new bolts. To my suprise my car has all 1/2" holes/bolts/bushes. When did they change?

Now all you need to do is buy a lathe and your budget suspension upgrade is almost complete!
Actually I am planning a complete rear-end rebuild (diff out, etc) so do appreciate your inclusion of part numbers etc.

Did the polybush ones Part number 1-5 not fit?

I don't know much about all this stuff (as I am sure you guessed!)

Yes they would. How did you find that? I must have looked through dozend of sites and never found it... or did you have it all the time and was just waiting for the funny/best time to tell me?

Only thing with those is they're 19mm ID so the bush is even thinner. With the already smaller than usual OD (due to the metalastic bush fitting 'bones) they're pretty thiner than usual as it is. Tieing this back to the hardness thing; I'm not sure whether that makes harder or softer bushes desirable?
I've got a lathe. Thats how I shortened and bored the tubes.

I'll do the rear bushes on mine this winter. For now it's just the fronts I've done as it was apart to try and fit one of these...

All done bar painting and sorting a cockpit adjuster. Should find out how it works this Friday at the PPC trackday at Blyton.

You'd better post a few pics up of that ARB once its all done.
And a full report to see if I need to get a new blade machined up if its too soft.
I got to move the engine back before I can fit my one.
So its an excuse to get floor mounted pedals.
