Mr RobMsport is correct! :)

It's a cover for the gear mechanism which drives the butterfly open & shut.
Must say, it seems to work well although I've only tried it at engine speeds not much above idle so far.
It's the 2.5" version of one of these:

You could even use it to limit boost on a turbocharged car.

Jeff with the remote control you could open and shut it as you go round Goodwood :lol:

I could set it up to be controlled by the GPS signal so it only closes near the noise meters.....

it does look like a good bit of kit but how much power would t loose shut, I know it says not much but do we know how much or do I need to read the spec more rather than look at the pictures :D .

No need for me with my 94db exhaust on ;)

£240 on ebay, but shipping is £90 from NZ. Small beer for Jeff, but a bit pricey for mere mortals.

Can't seem to find a distributor in the UK.
