rear facing exhaust

Has it had any effect on the fueling given the extra lenth? Do you think the flexi section has any effect on gas flow as it's not smoth walled?

I've considered a rear exit as achievable and a couple of us discussed it at Stoneleigh. We even looked at putting a butterfy valve/diverter behind the side silencer to give loud/quiet switchover.

I'd be surprised if it had made any difference to either fueling or flow. The car certainly doesn't feel any different with or without (which is more than you could say for the Decibel Devil). You could certainly run smooth pipe (and bend or weld as requried) but I have a surplus power (and the possibility of more with the right intercooler) that the cost saving of flexi was more important. The big difference is the flames come out the back rather than the side now lol

just being inquisitive, but what is that cast aluminium thing mounted on the back of the silencer housing with heat insulated wiring going to it? A fan or something more exciting?
