Does anyone have experience of this guy re gearbox mods, rebuilds? Met him at Stoneleigh and he sounded very convincing but have never heard of him myself.

Thanks Jeff, I know Road & Race...... Its just that decent ratios cost too much and this guy may have what I want from another box that has been upgraded. I have had one good report on him from another forum. We'll see.

David

If you can stop him talking and get him working, he's absolutely superb.

He made both of my TranX boxes work properly, I bought my Quaife 60G from him, and (I hear that) his own design of "type 9" synchro gearbox is top notch. He's also built my 3.1, 4.4 and 4.9 diffs (the last with his own design of LSD) -- all super.

Not cheap; not desperately timely (unless nagged); very good indeed.

I did call him as well when my tran x box failed. I liked the fact that he did not put anyone down but did explain why he could do it better.
never used him though
