New toy - scissor lift

Postby jeffw » Mon May 06, 2013 1:42 pm

Went and bought something I've been meaning to get for years. A scissor lift. Need to sort out a set of low ramps and a set of high axle stands plus a drill that will drive it but it seems to work well.

My mate's got one of them for his E-Type - it's a bit bigger (as you can imagine given the weight), but he swears by it.

Where did you get that one Jeff ?

It was the thick end of £500 delivered and has 3 widths (which is where some of the costs are). Actually a nice bit of kit for mass produced Chinese stuff. CJ Autos do them but I got mine off Ebay.

So when it's wound as low as it will go , what's the height of it at it's highest point :?:

Rob, I need 25mm ramps under each wheel to lift the car high enough to get it under.

car looks pretty cool too and I can see that we use the same tuner! good lads the Atspeed boys.

Where are you based ? Be good to get out on track at some point together.

I'm in Kent (Paddock Wood) but often get into Essex for Sprints. I'm actually in Essex this Sunday for the sprint at Debden.

Tempting but I still want a proper 2/4 post lift once my barn has been rebuilt :D
