Folks,
I'm looking for some advice on registration to get an aged related plate. I was planning to buy all the donor parts I need for my J15 build from an accident damaged Fiesta ST150, all other parts will be new. The problem with this is that since the car is Cat B write off, it is therefore now recorded as scrap and doesn't have a V5.
I'm not sure if having the regisitration number, chassis / engine number and receipt from a registered breaker saying the parts came from the same car will be acceptable. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Keith.

Re: Registration - Age Related
Hi Keith
I think you will find that the V5C is essential if you want an age-related plate. I doubt if DVLA will accept the breaker's receipt in lieu, and everything I researched before I registered my car pointed to the donor car's V5C being one of the first things they wanted.
I see you are in Aberdeen, might be worth going in to the Gallowgate office to clarify, as I found them to be very helpful when I was registering my Striker last year. (Better be quick, I believe it is closing down at the end of October, then you will be dealing with the faceless ones in Swansea....).
