J15 Ordered
After much procrastination I have finally ordered my J15, my 40th birthday might have had something to do with motivating me to do it today! So optimistically in a year's time I hope to be heading to an IVA test. The last kit took two and a half years but I am optimistic by nature. Keith.

Re: J15 Ordered
Hi, I've decided on a Fiesta ST150 base with throttle bodies and maybe cams, similar to Richard Claydon's blog. Not sure yet if I will go with a new engine or not? Can't convince myself it would be with the money or not.
I think I'll also go with the windscreen option and I'm definitely having a heater this time, feels like it's been snowing in Aberdeen for a month!
I'm going to try and fit 13" wheels so the rear brakes will be something of a special engineering job.
My ideas for the 'look' are still evolving but Jeremy needs to know the colour in about 4 weeks so I better start thinking about it.
Keith.

Re: J15 Ordered
The screen is from a Lotus Élan, S2 (I think). A heated screen looks available for about £185.
Had some more thoughts about engines last night, anyone got experience of the supercharged Mini Cooper S engine?
I wonder if it's light and would it fit under the engine cover?
Keith.

Re: J15 Ordered
Series 1 BMW mini used the Chrysler engine with cast iron block, the series 2 is I think aluminium block so should be lighter... so depends which one you are thinking of!
