Re: Striker chin
Certainly the one piece bonnet was an early thing. My old mkIII (chevette? uprights, fibreglass tunnel [risky!] and double wishbones at front) had a flat front, but a lot of the MkII's of the period [early to mid 90s] had the chin or spoiler. I prefer the flat front. The MkII I have now [96-97sih kit] is also flat and one piece

Re: Striker chin
oh I quite like my chin Phil. its's distinctive (well that's what my mum says)
to be fair I like the 'chin less' one too!
I've noticed that the indicators on mark's pic are in the same place as on mine too. stupid position tho as I keep kicking them out with my big feet!
Well it's in the garage now have a few dash board mods while the salt is on the roads.
How does JP take to random phone calls????

Probably fairer to JP to email him then he can reply when not pushed for his time . He doesn't live on a PC like most do so don't expect an immediate response

Re: Striker chin
Just wondered why mine has this 'chin' thats all.
Going to cut the origonal bonnet into two as it has a bulge for the engine so would have to alter a newer one anyway.
Any advice on the cutting?

Re: Striker chin
So I guess it's best to put a fibreglass 'lip' on the underside of one of the bonet sections when cut to support the other half? Paint \finish advice anyone?

Re: Striker chin
When i first got mine I used Araldite to stick an aluminim strip inside the "bonnet" piece to stop it from lifting at speed - seems to have held well

New motor means I've had to fit the later style 2 piece set-up
