JK Composite seats & Plastics4Performance Aeroscreen

Postby Ian McH » Tue Jun 05, 2012 10:22 am

Before I go the eBay route, anyone interested in a pair of JK Composite seats (IVA-friendly), the narrower ones specifically for the Striker (see JK's website)?

I bought them a few months ago, they are the more expensive base-mount models, complete with OMP runners, and have black padded inserts, with yellow piping. My car went through IVA a few weeks ago (phew!), and because I am larger around the beam-end than I used to be, the JK's are a bit tighter than I like on longer journeys, and I have decided to go back to the original Striker seat backs and bases, if only to preserve a bit of self-respect when pulling myself out of the car...

With the runners (from Demon Tweeks) and carriage, they cost me £550, but I am open to sensible offers from Club members. Carriage would be at extra cost from Aberdeenshire (as a guide, JK charged £30 delivery, so it is sure to be less than that).

I also have an IVA-friendly aeroscreen and uprights, again for a Striker. The screen came from Plastics4Performance, one of the very few companies (I understand) which supplies plastic screens that are correctly E-marked and radiused for the IVA test. The IVA tester passed it, without comment other than checking for the correct markings. The screen cost me a frankly ridiculous £135, including postage, (but it removed some worries about the IVA test). I will throw in the alloy uprights, correctly radiused for IVA, and a suitable length of new rubber insert, so all you need to find are 4 x M8 countersunk bolts to fit everything onto the chassis uprights. Again, I am open to sensible offers, plus postage.

Any questions, I will do my best to answer them.
