Well the head has had to come off and arp studs and nuts are being fitted and a slightly thicket head gasket. The belt also let go but we think that was a manufacturing issue and there appears to be 10psi missing but I suspect the wrong pulley has been shipped. The main man at Omex is back on Monday so it will be resolved pretty quickly.

It is making 230HP & 190 ft lb at the wheels (270HP 230 ft lb at the crank) on 8.5psi without being aggressive on the fuel and the cams will need to be optimised so it is a good start. The Omex kit with the big pulley makes 220 Crank so we are up 40-50HP. If you continue with that it should make 350-360 & 270ft lb on 17-18psi.

Not sure on the head gasket. We are re-calculating the CR and adjusting the thickness as necessary and adding ARP studs and nuts. This should hold in the expect boost pressure. This is the first Omex supercharger kit on a Zetec with heads and cams so there is some R&D going on at the moment.

Ah , does that mean ' they ' bare some of the costs to help them develop specific conversion kits for modified Blacktops

it is pretty much a one-off for them as they expect people to have stock Zetecs, which is what the kit is designed for.
