Fury Modifications for tall driver?

Postby Chet » Mon Nov 14, 2011 9:01 pm

Help -
I have a Fury owner here in the USA who doesn't quite fit his Fury because of his height.
This IRS Fury has the light weight chassis.

Does anyone have any experience with dropping the floor or making other changes for a taller driver?
Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I think TheKitCarWorkshop did some dropped floor Furys when they were doing them. Basically a shallow box instead of a flat floor panel. I think it's an option on Westfields so might be worth a look there for ideas.
How tall is the owner?

.. or extend the pedal box and move the pedals forward and recline the driver a bit more.

Fyi-
The pedal box couldn't be moved forward to provide more space because this is a LHD USA Busa Fury.

Keith however came up with a very unique solution!

While working on the car he noticed that the Harbor Freight wheel dolly sitting next to his car seemed to be a useful size. He checked and found that the steel wheel dolly platform ( without the wheels of course ) was almost a perfect fit and the rounded shape worked like a charm.

Issue resolved.
