fury suspension

so i'm gonna order my shocks from procomp with the bonus that they're local to me. only question is whether the spring coil is 1.9 or 2.25 not sure what measurement this is? help anyone?

i.d. of spring, the o.d. of the shock will be a bit less than this.

I have 1.9inch, protechs which are popular and good. Not sure of the pro's and con's of 1.9 vs 2.25. Except 2.25 are slightly more common.

The other dimension that might be relevant is the bolt sizes. 1/2inch or 12mm? so might be worth measuring your chassis holes before ordering. I had to drill some AVO's that I had, and it was difficult to do it neatly, and would have been even more difficult (maybe impossible) if they had been fitted with spherical bearings.

I think the difference between 1.9 and 2.25 (apart front the dimentions) is the amount of work they can do. Absorbing the movement heats them up and the larger shock takes more energy before getting hot heat and radiates more heat. Competition shocks oftem have a seperate resevoir and off-road shocks are over size for that reason.

ah, now it make sense, i believe Ivan at procomp was leaning towards 2.25 if it would fit and not foul anything, he said that despite the being no difference on the shock dyno, some how he feels the 2.25 are more progressive if that makes sense.
