2nd in class today (7th overall) at North Weald with a 73.26. Paul Bowden won the class with a 67.7 ! Third place was a 74.9
Good weather and given the car was done less than 50 miles since I finished it on Saturday (New calipers, new discs & pads, new tyres & not set up) I didn't think it was too bad.

Re: Hillclimb & Sprinting
It is interesting comparing Paul's time with mine. His is a Caterham Superlite R300 with a R400 engine in it. It turns up on a trailer and has scrubbed Avon ZZRs in soft compound (215/55 13 rear and 185/55 13 front). The car is setup correctly and has the minimum fuel required to do one run.
Compared with my Phoenix which was driven to the event with Medium compound R888 and 6 gallons of fuel. Slight difference in talent as well
I need to get the car set-up correctly and look at Soft tyres. I'm still 3 secs closer than last year

Jeff
You neglect to mention that Paul is also an absolute NW specialist -- good car, very good driver, exceptional local knowledge.
You did well.

Lydden report -- very short.
Beautiful day; lovely circuit; slick organisation; this time both Jeff (W) and I were beaten by Paul Bowden -- so, plenty to go at
Enjoy France Jeff.

First outing of Marmelade as a BEC at Stowe on Sunday (never having turned a wheel until the previous day
). Youtubage at http://youtu.be/HmFEWAOvjgs?hd=1.
Both Spencers were very impressive indeed in their trusty Striker
