Mk4 Clubman mould/buck.

Postby doninphi » Sat Nov 01, 2025 7:40 pm

I noticed a while back, that people were talking about making a new mould/buck for the clubman mk4 / early phoenix front.

Well, I had one made. As I needed a new front. Now the mould is not perfect, but... it's a starting point. My car is being painted right now, and being filled/sorted. It's not the original mould/as it's got a hump which was custom added to my bonnet, so not an Original copy so to speak.

Issues with the mould are:
- a couple of bits in the hump which need filling
- the rear curves don't perfectly match the body, but this could be braced to improve future moulds
- the hump has bits around it which are not smooth, this could be improved before moulding again

Anyway, if you've got a clubman mk4 early car, and are in need of a front - I might be able to help.

Drop me a pm on here, and I'll get back to you. I'm in Lincoln.
This is a pic of my car, with the bonnet on it:

The bonnet I had 'edited' to add the hump which was used on my car originally. It happily clears a Xflow and twin 45s. :)

Thanks
Phil
