Sylva Leader lights

Postby Carl55 » Fri Feb 21, 2020 7:04 pm

Hi all , I have been trying to purchase some new headlights for my leader but it has proven somewhat trying as new lights seem unobtainable and used ones very expensive . So after a lot of research I have come up with an alternative they are MR2 headlights ,well aftermarket ones clear lenses and the reflector built in to the bowl all for £40 a pair not to bad although they don’t have the hole drilled for the side light but the indent is clear so a bit of very careful drilling and hey presto! To be totally honest I did have to modify the adjustment carrier slightly but nothing to drastic. New lights no rusting and readily available plus they look right .

thought Viva lights were easy enough to find (there are others that are very similar on other models - old Citroen 2CV etc ).....maybe not it seems.

GT40 replicas use Viva headlights so this has been discussed already (see link above)

any images of what your MR2 conversion looks like?
