Back in the old days - Sandown Park photo

Postby gannett » Mon Jan 13, 2020 3:24 pm

Was digging in the attic and found a couple of show pictures from Sandown Park race course in Epsom. Probably in the early '90s Mostly Leaders and a couple of Strikers on show.

After looking up the reg numbers I see that Q442AAN, Leader, Black, Registered 1 Jan 1971 has a MOT Valid to 15 Aug 2020
It' still out there :)

Anyone recognise any of the other cars as still runners ?

HI,
Not about Cars, but I am sure I can see Revel Coles, who still has the Stylus, not running sadly! Also, a young Dave Wallom chatting to Mark Fisher?

Don't think I ever went to that show but I went to the Chatham show a few times around the early to mid 90's.

I do wonder if I can see Mark Bideleux in one of the pictures, not sure when he got his first Sylva but it must have been around the early 90's.

I don’t think Dad and I ever went to that show so it won’t be him unless he snuck off without me.... :) That is Mark Fisher at the back in the first photo, and I recognise some of the cars certainly! Some of them were featured in the early Fisher Sportscars promo material also.
