Sylva leader engine change

Postby Carl55 » Sun Nov 17, 2019 7:12 pm

Hi all I am just mulling over a possible change of engine in my leader as my twin cam may not be a good long term option. The cost of parts and their lack of availability driving this , has anyone put an mx5 engine and box in one what’s your thoughts.

My head might say to go for it but I don't think my heart would.

Yes that’s the problem I have always wanted a twin cam , I think I just waited to long to get one and the engine is suffering from some 18 years of neglect and poor finishing.

Download a copy of Guy Croft's book - got loads of info on the Fiat/Lancia twincams. You can fix it I'm sure!
