Winner Winner Chicken dinner!
Being a lardarse myself, I alway took the opinion it is easier and cheaper for the driver to lose weight! Also, I quite like my Pinto and can't justify the cost of an engine change! Am upgrading it's breathing though!

You need to talk to me about Pinto’s Edd, I have built a few and know how to extract power for the least money or get the best bang for your bucks mate

OK,
To be honest, I've lways been happy with the power/torque, just it's driveability has been lacking due to undersized 40's, although once I get driveability I suspect I'll then get power hungry!

There's a Striker for sale here in NL, was imported last year, first registered 1993, maybe you guys know it.

R1 engined, bench seat, wind deflector, wheels seem to be 15 inch, ad claims 411 kg! (registration says 413 kg)
