Oh boy, I really know how this feels, and the vid loks just like how mine went, but the opposite direction! guess this will be an insurance job?

As it was a track day it's not covered by insurance. It's the risk you take doing them but I enjoy the track and take the risk. 5th track day this year.

Not sure about being better doing the rear in. The bonnet is an easier fix than the rear tub. I'll just patch it and get on with enjoying the car. Could have been worse; Could have been a Porsche!

O poo, sorry to hear about your shunt Adi. At least you are OK, the car can always be fixed.

Oulton park is a great track but like all racing tracks is not very forgiving

I was on 888's but I've used them in far wetter/worse conditions (see my avatar). I'd had a twitch at the same point on the sighting laps (next lap there was mud on the track so someone had been visiting the scenery) and then a twitch exiting ESSO and the chicanes but predictable/controlable and I'd backed off even more after that. Just cold tyres and the surface change I guess...and a dumb driver. I had a feel at Joe's tyres after a hard session and they were stone cold.

The last time I'd driven the car was on a drift day on the low grip circuits at Oulton. So after a whole day of that I thought I'd got opposit lock sussed. This one seemed to come from nowhere and didn't react to my imput once it started to break away.

The tub will just get patched up. Probably wont look pretty but it won't effect the performance... might be usefull if it slowed it down.

Yeah, take your point re: rear tub, wasn't meaning to make light of your problem

This was a Rob Farley's Stylus after a meet with a small tree in Sept '08.
He had to cut the front off (Stylus is not a flip as STD) & wait 6 months for a new front-end moulding.
Plus Radiator, plus steering rack links, plus upright crack-test, plus respray = £££.

BTW, what are the rear lights in your car ? Are they the LED jobbies from Stafford Vehicles ??
I've got to replace the ones on mine, as the drivers side lens keeps cracking.
Time for something new I think.

I'm trying to make light of it myself, so no worries.

The lights are Hella LED ones but not the ones SVC/CBS sell. They're the next ones up in the line. I'll try and post a picture tonight (not got them on this computer).
