I'm booked in to see JP on the 21st of November............will be taking the cheque book :D :D :D

Looking good Rich, what's your target date to get it on the road?
Does the ST engine and box fit straight in or do you have to use different mounts to the SE engine?

Regards

David

Hi everyone - ok back now!! Illness in the family, including me and Karen and a promotion round to prepare for!!

Progress and piccies as promised.

Have been playing around with bits and pieces, throttle bodies and filter fitted, new through flowing fuel rail too.

Trial fitted the back body again and my suspicions were confirmed, the bodywork fouled the top cover. Real shame really as I had to go out and buy a Raceline cam cover!! Really gutted

Need to cut the body away a bit now!

Drive shafts were shortened by Drivelink and they made a fantastic job of them. Had them friction welded - complete with rebuilt outer CVs £260. Not bad huh?

Also had a set of Gauges bought for my birthday by my wonderful wife Karen. Very nice ETB - Yellow faces with black needles and bezels.

Also got the fuel, oil pressure, temperature and volt gauges too.

Finally my seats have arrived - just dropped them in to see how they looked - what do you think?

ECU and loom should be here next week - another £1K spent!!

This time around

Throttle bodies and ECU etc £2200ish

Raceline top cover £350

Drive shafts £260

Seats £300

Gauges from the Mrs £360

Oh my................................... :o :o

More soon - promise!!
Cheers

David the mounts were specially made for the Duratec by Jeremy, he's happy to oblige at the chassis building stage. My car is the pre production Duratec mule!!

Target for build - Spring 2010!!

The seats suit the look of the car. Same as Jon has in his green one. I do wonder if you would change them for Carbon/GRP bucket seats if you where doing a fair few trackdays. Bucket seats will make you feel more connected to the car.

Hi Guys, not much of an update over the last month. Festivities and then the weather have sort of put a stop on me at the moment.

Have sorted the handbrake out though and now that works.

Engine loom is now fully fitted and we've made up a couple of small mounts for the loom where it runs over the fuel rail.

Hoping to brave the cold tomorrow and do some panel work at the back end. Also need to have a look at the mounting for the ECU etc.

I'll get some piccies for you tomorrow.

Cheers
