You need a ECU cable, otherwise it will not work. £150 +VAT from the Race Technology Website.
Yeah, but from your link the Race Technology site it says for the Canems
Race Technology ECU interface has the same connector and pin out so a null modem cable is required to connect the devices together
Null modem cable switches pins 2 and 3 with female connectors on both ends (Cable supplied with ECU serial interface adaptor).
now i can either buy a null cable off amazon for £6 or use the double female thingy i bought the other day and swap the wires in the ECU plug to swap pins 2 'n' 3.
The only problem i can see doing the second option is that i'll need a null cable to swap the pins back if i needed to plug the ECU into the lappy.
The expensive cables look like they plug into the OBD ports and do some sort of black magic
