Le Mans 2010 - Details

Postby Edd » Wed Nov 25, 2009 9:04 am

Hello,

More details later, but.......

I have been looking at rough costs, for next years trip tp the fantastic Le Mans 24 Hours. Price includes Ferry/Tickets/Parking and Camping at Spay. Details below. However, it looks like being one of the most expensive trips for a few years due to he Brown Pound! Still a good value trip.

Main plan is below:-

Weds 9th June 2010.
Ferry - Newhaven to Dieppe - Sailing at 2230/Arriving 0330. Cost includes Cabin!

Thurs 10th June 2010.
Drive to Campsite, stopping ASAP for Coffee/Croissants!
Arrive Spay Campsite, pitch/shower etc.
Last 2 sessions of qualifying at circuit.

Fri 11th June
Free day. However, beside shopping/stocking up there are other thinkgs happening.
1. Track is open, well the public roads are, so Mad Friday will be in full swing, or as mad as the gendarmes allow now anyway!
2. Pitlane is open.
3. Drivers Parade in Le Mans town centre. Buses/Metro available from circuit.

Evening we normally have a big BBQ/Party at the campsite, usually fantastically organised by the Dutch half of the party!

Sat/Sun 12/13 June.
Er...Race!

Monday.
Recovery, slow drive back to port!

Tuesday
Return ferry - Dieppe to Newhaven - Sailing at 0500!!. Again Cabin included in cost.

OK.

i. Ferry times - There are options. There is an 1800 Monday evening ferry arriving 2100.There is also an 0930 outbound arriving 1430 in Dieppe. You could also go Dover/Calais. I am happy to explore/book all options for you.
Ii. Price includes cabin, 2 cars per cabin i.e. 4 People.
Iii. Price is based on 2 people per Car.
Iv. Price includes general entrance ticket/car park in Rouge car park/4 nights camping/ferry and cabin.
V. The Campsite is in a small village called Spay, about 10-15 minute drive to the circuit..ahem..traffic depending!

Costs.

In the region of 310GBP per car, based on 2 people per car.

Any question please ask.

I will need 50 GBP per car deposit before I can book the ferry. I intend to book the ferry before christmas.

Please email to Edward at edward.berresfordATgooglemail.co.ok .

Thanks

Edward Berresford.

Edd,

Have booked our own ferry crossing as before. Will be doing Dover-Calais early Thursday morning, and Calais-Dover late Monday afternoon.

Will confirm final numbers for camping / entrance tickets soon, but there will be at least 3 of us (in 1 car).

Yes,
Red is the way to go, we used it 2 years ago for the first time.
Looking forward to it, looks like being a small UK party this year, and I still need a passenger...I think!
