Just started going through the video from last months euro trip. Loaded a short bit to you-tube cruising in the southern Pyranees...

Plenty more to follow when I get time (and have recovered). Most of it's a bit more "urgent" than this one.... more Motorhead than MattMonroe as in this case.

Re: 2013 Trip video
Some great videos there - is this a regular trip you go on?
Myself and a few friends do an annual trip (2 weeks until the next one) and we are looking to venture out to Europe soon so any info on who arranges it and any gotchas would be appreciated

Re: 2013 Trip video
Yes, it's an annual trip. Nominally called Tour of the Alps, though the last 2 trips have started in the Pyrenees before heading to the Alps. Normally last week in June for 10 days. Usually covering 2500-3000 miles.
Organisation comes down to whispers starting Dec/Jan between members of the group. A rough idea of where we fancy going is discussed before people are asked to commit. The group is about 15 strong but we limit numbers to the first 10 or so to commit. We book ferrys and hotels for the first couple of nights then camp the rest. The route is planned using TYRE (Trace Your Route Everywhere) program and itinerary files sent out for TomToms. Camp sites aren't booked in advance but not a problem just turning up at that time of year and that also leaves it possible to get a hotel if the weather is bad.

Another video...

Col du Galibier late in the afternoon. Above the snow-line, thin air and cold tyres (melt water has that effect) pretty big drops and car showing the wear and tear of a week away.

Re: 2013 Trip video
Yes it was. I think you can hear one side of the radio chat as we get to the top. Think it went something like...
Jim, "Are we stopping to look at the veiw/regroup ?"
Me, "It's to fecking cold to stop!"
You do kind of worry about the water running out of the snow drifts as it can't be much above freezing point . You tend to be a bit cautious once you see it.

For some reason this video made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
I've seen loads of onboards etc, but even the the IOM TT doesn't do that to me!!
