be carefull with 'cheap' car transporters.
I have a woodford trailer and they're very good. BUT
8 ply trailer tyres are £60 each, brakes shoes are £75 an axle. So it's easy to see how you can spend £400 on a scruffy old trailer, and that's with out any brake cables, lights etc. I gave about £850 for mine 8 years ago, was 2 years old at the time. There's a big differential in condition between a cheap trailer at say £400 and really nice one at about £1000, such as the one Pete sold recently, viewtopic.php?f=6&t=940

Hi again Phil,

Want ro be out in the garage doin stuff, but its really brass monkey weather here atm. Yep the trailer I hired to pick the car up with ( 265 miles away!) was a £2500 one and
very stable. A friend of mine just bought a £350 cheepo from ebay no brakes ( but would be under the limit to tow) and now it needs quite a bit of welding. Perhaps
driving to a track day / hiring / borrowing a trailer each time may be wiser.....?

i doubt would be under the weight limit, which is 750kgs laden, above that you need brakes.
with ebay there's plenty of trailer hire for £25/30 a day (when I looked last that is) and with storage and servicing it makes you wonder if it's worth buying one. And you need to keep hold of it too, they're very nickable. It's not unheard of for them to be picked up by a hiab over a fence and into the back of a truck. Saying that, buy a good one and you won't loose, much. They hold their value really well

Think your right Phil.... my mate will be welding his trailer on Saturday, already had a new jockey wheel. If we do 5 or 6 track days this year at £25 per trip £150.. Best to see how we get on with it 1st.....We might not even like it!!!!
