Going 20v supercharged so will be selling my engine complete. Engine was built last spring by Nigel Keates of Cougar engines at great expense. Engine is as new with all the right bits and runs nice and smooth with throttle bodies on.
Spec as follows;
Lightened and balanced bottom end with standard 16V rods and ARP bolts
Forged 11.1 Pistons
Big Valve ported head
Cat cams, followers and springs and of course ally verniers.
Solid steel bottom pulley with CPS bracket
Webcon throttle bodies complete with airbox and remote filter
New water pump and all new bearings belts etc
Standard sump that has not had any oil surge or starvation problems.
Nigel is old school engine builder so everything has been checked, decked and cleaned properly before building. Engine has been set up on the rollers at 180bhp with a rev limit of 8500.
Will not come with fywheel but will supply map for an Omex 600 ECU so you can just plug and play. Not sure on whether I will need starter alternator etc, but will probably let it all go with the engine.
Its all still in the car at the moment, but not for too long as I am collecting all the s/c parts ready to do a swap in around 4 weeks.
This engine cost well over £4000 to build and has done only half a dozen trackdays, so if you are thinking of a 4age 16V then this is an excellent example. Sensible offers before I put it on fleabay and the Irish rally forums. either pm or email

I don't get it, why go 20v with a charger while you have a 180bhp 16v that's capable of more, much more like 220bhp+ and would still be N/A instead of charged
If I'd got the cash, I'd buy it, but sadly haven't. Nice engine, very nice engine.

The 20v engine is easily 260hp + with NA drivability.

Engine will be coming out within the next couple of weeks, so if anyone wants to see it running, be quick. I am open to sensible offers as I now have my s/c engine coming.

Re: Toyota 16V 4age complete 180hp
Most engine builders dont like anything other than JE pistons. I have used Wiseco before that work fine, but a set of JE ones are £600 as apposed to say £400 for other makes. Is it worth taking a chance or not ?
Picked up the other engine so will be putting the 16V on fleabay probably. Would be nice to hang on to it, but cant keep it all.
