Fisher Fury Le Mans first registered in July 2010.
The Pinto engine originally fitted to the car had expired so this was upgraded to 2 litre ‘Blacktop’ Zetec with Jenvey throttle bodies and Emerald ECU when I purchased the car.
The original spec of the car included;
• 5 speed Type 9 gearbox
• Braced rear roll bar
• Securon 4 point harnesses
• Genuine Ford Escort RS 4 Spoke 13" 6J Alloy Wheels
• Spax adjustable shocks
• ETB instruments throughout
• Odyssey Extreme PC650 battery
• JK Composites seats (with pads on drivers side)
The car has just sailed through an MOT without a single advisory.
The last recorded mileage on an MOT was 16,657 in June 2017; in February 2018 when I bought the car it was 17,369. I haven’t covered many miles since and the odometer on the ETB speedometer is somewhat temperamental, so I can’t confirm the exact mileage, but I estimate it to be no more than 19,000.
The engine upgrade was carried out in 2017/8 to a high standard by a trusted garage who has worked on my previous kit cars. The engine, ancillaries and gearbox came from another kit car which was known to me and runs perfectly. When in the previous car the engine was mapped at 175bhp, as it now has a different exhaust this figure may be slightly different, but should still be good for 160/170bhp.
Since buying the car I’ve spent a fair amount of time and money getting it sorted to the point where I’m happy with how it drives and runs, and this includes the following. I have receipts for all the parts/work I’ve had carried out.
• New 300mm flat suede steering wheel
• Re-wired instruments
• Strengthened seat fixings
• Battery cut-out fitted
• Rally Design quick shift fitted
• ITG air filters fitted
• Clutch cable replaced
• 1 litre aluminium Catch tank installed
• Comex 12” fan, new VW313 radiator and radiator fan switch.
• Bonnet wiring connector replaced
• Westfield 5" silencer with cat fitted – Part No 1716052
• ETB Voltmeter, and oil pressure gauge fitted
• All front ball joints replaced
• New bushes ferrules and grease nipples fitted to upper wishbones
• Upper wishbone tube shortened and spaced rearward to increase castor
• Lower wishbone fitted with poly bushes
• New 2.9 quick rack fitted
• Toyo R888R, plenty of tread left as little mileage since fitted
The car is only for sale as I’ve decided it’s quicker than I need. I’m looking for £8,000, which I think is a fair price for the car. I can supply more/better quality photos/answer any questions.
