Sylva Phoenix RGB race car (1999)

Postby Minters » Wed Aug 30, 2017 1:16 pm

Sylva Phoenix RGB race car (1999) - used for hill-climbs and sprints over the last 3 years. MSA log booked - The car is not registered for road use, it was built, and only ever used, as a race/track/hill-climb car, it does however have a chassis plate/number.

Powered by Kawasaki 900cc ZX9R engine and transmission (6 spd). (Engine ZX9e1 with one off billet sump and baffling + increase oil capacity by 500ml).

Manual paddle gear shift system.

Roll cage (ROPS) replaced just last year to meet current MSA regs.

Bailey Morris Bike engine specific damped prop shaft.

3.54 differential open.

Large Merlin Motor Sports silencer.

Nikko G Pack module for ignition

Large 40L foam fill aluminium fuel tank.

Facet race fuel pump, Proflow fuel regulator.

Braided fuel lines.

Alfano digital dash with shift lights, RPM and temperature read out, can be configured as lap timer and for engine hours (have manual).

260 mm diameter vented front discs.

Hi Speck R114-4 race callipers with "speed event" pads.

Braided equal length brake lines.

Remote operated 2.25L Lifeline zero 2000 fire extinguisher system serviced 2013 to comply with MSA race regulations - OK for Speed events but needs re-fill / check for "race".

Race "rain" LED light, external pulls for power cut-off and extinguisher.

Titon 6 point driver safety harnesses certified to race to 2017 - OK for Speed events after that date as controlled by condition.

Wheels - 4 x 14" Compomotive (white), 2 sets of 4 x "minilite" style - one set black & one set silver and 2 x 14” early Caterham cup wheels.

Comes with spares.......

ZX9r c3 engine including shortened baffled sump.

The stickers applied to the car currently can obviously be removed - though I'd be devastated!

Whilst in place and wired - only some of the lights operate (they have in past so just wiring issue). No show pony but presents well generally. There is some crazing to the GRP in places and a very small area of damage above/trailing the headlamps, though spare bonnet and side pods (lilac) available.

Can deliver on GB mainland by separate agreement. Pictures available on request.
