Sylva Star Hood
Can anyone tell me about the hood fitted to the Star (and Leader I presume?). Is it from another donor vehicle or is it bespoke? I guess if I want a new one it will be a made to order item and therefore expensive? Any decent second hand ones about? Thanks.

The hood is bespoke and even if you do find one from a Star it will be around 30years old.
The leader ones can be made to fit as similar shape and size.
We have two Stars in the family and the hoods on both are different in their fixings.
The one on my brothers Star has shrunk and mines long rotted away.
There are companies who make them to order check out this forum or locostbuilders for quality recommendations etc.

It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes . . .

Cheers, much as feared, second hand like hens teeth and new expensive! The hood I have is serviceable (just) rear window is opaque but guess this could be replaced and the odd tear repaired - seems best way to go?
Hope it's a sunny summer!

if you have one to use as a pattern I guess that'll be cheaper than getting one made by just measuring the car.
