Stafford Show 2011

Postby RichN » Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:42 pm

Does anyone know if this show is on? It's not listed in this months CKC.

I heard that there was some issue last year where Kit-car drivers were not allowed free entry, is that true and if so is anyone going this year?

It's still on as far as I am aware. CKC may not list it, as it is run by a rival magazine I believe.

There were issues last year with some kit car drivers being charged entry to the halls.

Website is here: http://www.kit-cars.com/stafford/index.html

The ticket information says nothing about kitcar drivers getting into the halls for free.

If you follow the links it seems there is free entry but only if you buy either three issues of KitCar or one of it's special guides. Sorry to say it'd take a bigger incentive than that to get me to spend anything on one of thier mags. Whats on offer inside the hall would have to improve a lot to get me to pay for entry especially when they're using the owners cars ("over 400 cars") as marketing for the show.

Now that is marketing

I've supported it over the last few years, but after last year's episode I will be doing something else this year...
Sylva Mojo 2.0 Zetec on GSXR750 throttle bodies...

It's a great spot and the club makes it worth the trip. We had a good BBQ last year at lunch time and I had a decent drive out through the Peak District to get there. The year before a few cars met and had a ride to Whitchurch for a fry-up breakfast and then on the the show. If the weather looks good I'll probably go for the day... I'll make a point of moaning about being expected to pay and go off in a huff though. :D

Is there going to be a JPSC stand ther next weekend? If there is and the weather is reasonable I'll come along but won't bother if not.

Manufacturers and traders also demonstrated their belief in the quality of the show as the majority of them have re-booked for this year.

Hardly fills me with confidence..........sounds like there will be even less there than last year !

But then , if the sun is shining I might take a drive up there :|
8 is too many , 4 aint enough , so it's gotta be 6

We will be there unless the weather is going to be truly awful. The question is with how much kit ? May be a gazebo and flags rather than the whole marquee.

Will publicise when we are nearer to the weekend, and the weather is clearer.
