I also question the wisdom of a power output that can spin the wheels in top @ 100mph ... 240hp+ in a Striker is scary enough for me, full throttle is only available in a straight line
Didn't know what I was doing when I started ... still don't ten years later !

I think the high torque figure is what will be unusable other than on track in bone dry conditions. Would need a lot more rubber or slicks to make full use of all that power.

I think in OMEX's case the striker is just used as a test bed for the system. Thats the impresion I got from talking to them. The belt eating is due to the blower being at the end of the belts run and not enough wrap-around on the belt. They're going to alter the idler pulley position.
The belt looked pretty big when flying through the air from the rear wheels of a Tiger! Not as big as a fuel tank though.
