Really need to try and get to this, can postpone one thing I was going to do on that day but will now have a 12 week old puppy by then and not sure I can drag it up to Blyton at that age just yet!

I'm sure you'll think of something.

However one of the rules of the internet is you can't mention puppies without posting pictures.

I must have missed that rule when I read the rule book

As you asked and to take this completely off topic...here he is, 4 weeks old Cocker Spaniel called Fisher. I wanted a Weimaraner but was out-voted 5-1 on the grounds I would not be there half the time to walk it and a Weimaraner is possibly going to walk the girls rather than the other way round!

Debbie is keen that it will be a semi-working dog and we have a friend who has a shoot on their land so if we can train it then he will get a chance to do what his breed is meant to do :D

Now to drag this back on topic, what is the static and drive by noise limits for Blyton? I failed drive by at Brands last night, I managed to get back out but had to short shift/keep the revs below 5.5k which is harder than you think when the car just wants to be driven :o

Blyton noise meter is by the pit exit on the control cabin thing. From memory it was 102 dB

As Jeff say (but it might be 105 drive by). It's mounted quite high and right on the corner so it's the slowest section of the track and before you build any revs. I've only ever seen one car fail and that was a turbo that failed as the dump valve was so loud. I once asked then what mine was showing (as I was going to Zolder where they're very strict) and I think the highest they saw was 80db... At Zolder I subsequently got pulled for reading 115db drive by but their meters were at a point of full throttle and right where I hit top revs (and on the exhaust side).

In short... you'll be OK.

Still a few places available apparently if anyone else fancies it.

I got my car through an MOT test on Wednesday but not driven far due to the weather and the prop losing a rear u/j cap, not sure how that happened but a circlip must have come loose.

I was hoping to use the day as a get used to the car and set up day but the weather is looking very grim. Very disappointing after two years of not being on track we will have to hope for a change and that the forecasters have got it wrong. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2645180

On a different note the outer track sprint lap record was broken at the British championship round a couple of weeks ago by Heather Calder with a 53.49 run, average speed of 96.18mph it was spectacular to watch to say the least.

I hope the weather turns out better than forecast and you all have a great day and I will be back next year to join in :D
