Re: CKC Blyton 23rd Sept
Well the forecast has been improving all day. Gone from 80% chance heavy rain all day to 50% chance of showers around midday and dry the rest. Still got an amber warning though. Apparently there could be "difficult driving conditions"
So far I've done nothing to get ready. If I go it'll be a last min' decision and I'll be sticking the hood on and driving there because I really can't be bothered loading the trailer. Now which tyres?

Well weather warnings have been lifted and met office shows dry all day (<5% cancel rain)... Guess I'd better get sorted out and drag all the touring kit/spares/tools from every nook and cranny.

Sad to say my car won't be there, I got a new hardy Spicer joint but the circlip grooves on the yoke are wrecked. Been searching all afternoon for one but nobody has one.

Re: CKC Blyton 23rd Sept
Sorry, it was a long day and I was too knackered to be bothered last night.
The weather mostly held off and stayed dry, cold and windy, apart from 10min as lunch finished when there was a quick shower. Unfortunately I wasn't ready to go so missed the fun conditions. Generally too many card on track if you were going quick in the morning but better after lunch. GD were there with several Cobras and 2x t70 all running north of 400bhp. Also an Ultimate owners by Joe welderman who previously had a Fury. Quickest thing in a straight line was an MEV Rocket with turbo busa making 280bhp but he thought I had the edge on him for lap time... based on not being able to catch me. With the new headers and tune it's deff' up on power; I'm lighting up at will in 4th where previously I had to try hard to do it in 3rd. One of the spectators said I was doing 66-7 sec laps on my last session when the track was quiet but who knows... It was fun though.

Good idea, you should go for it, you must know Blyton like the back of your hand by now.

I've no interest in investing time spending a whole day (or weekend) to do half a dozen laps.
