CKC Llandow Track Day Saturday 19th May

Postby peter030371 » Mon Jan 08, 2018 3:03 pm

Before I forget I have just signed up for this. Its only £115 for non-subscribers or if you do subscribe to the magazine its only £95...£115 is a cheap track day so £95 and on a Saturday is a bloody bargain!

If you have never done a track day before then these are simply the best way to start. Very relaxed atmosphere and low car numbers with (normally) an open pit so you can get on track as often as you like (unless you are going for a endurance practice  )

Lets see how many of us can get there this year...I may even get enough material out of it/you to produce another long (very long) overdue Club Magazine :o

Really, I thought is was for us slower kit cars only not you racer types ;)

I bet a lot of people there would like to look at the engineering involved (well I would) even if they then call you a flash git (or words to that effect) behind your back (not me, Debbie said that  )!

Have you got the car home yet? Until I see it in your garage I think you have made it all up and its just an arrive and drive per event deal

I might be tempted along but it's a bit early to know yet.

How many laps do you expect to manage Jeff?

Jeff now has a pure sprint car. That means it goes out, drives around the track really fast and then comes straight in as the brakes and tyres will overheat after more than 95% of a lap

I will probably stay at the camp site next door, travel up on the Friday and then back home on the Sunday :D

It is actually an endurance car, designed for 4 hr races. It will depend completely on how much 118 Octane fuel I want to waste.

I know the car is (I was joking ;) ) but seriously, fuel costs aside, do you have any non-super soft sprint tyres?
