Great day yesterday. Long, horrible trip home and then unloading a very wet car in the hissing rain in the dark but that's life!

I only did 23 laps over 4 sessions but with my gearbox weeping oil when it gets really hot I think better to be cautious rather then bugger it up. Looks like its got to come out to be properly sorted this winter...along with the cracked rear wing (silly place to put a cone on the apex, I was bound to hit it at some point  )

Car handles really well (to me) and is everything I wanted in it :D

Just looked at my data log files and I only hit 100% throttle 4 times....I know there is a lot more speed to come from the driver now ;)

It was a good day. I didn't find the cones on the apex's were an issue... The one someone left in the middle of the track however

I've got kit (that was in the Fury on the way home) hanging up all over the workshop drying out. It came down so hard at the top of Woodhead/A628 that if there'd been a layby I would have pulled over. I thought the M1 was bad going on Sat, but this was a whole new level.

I wonder how long it will be before I'm sharing the track with a camper van again?

Maybe you didn't try hard enough then :P I thought it looked OK in that spot, made hitting the apex a little more interesting for the next car

I've got some stuff sorted and more to do tonight. Rain was similar to yours on the way home, very difficult to drive in when you can't see past your windscreen :!:

4 times in 23 laps or 4 times per lap?

Only 4 times in 23 laps! The first 10 laps I was being gentle being a new build and all that. Then I started giving it some more power and thought I was hitting 100% throttle in 4 or 5 places per lap but the datalog doesn't lie :o I was only getting to about 85-90% throttle most times. I have the throttle position as one of the values I can see on the display but didn't look at it whilst driving (trying not to hit any more cones). At home in the garage 0-100% works just fine on the display so I know its set up right. So much to learn and get used too but it gives me things to work on next time :D

I should have come with you just to rag it round Blyton, for bedding in purposes you understand. Mind you if you did 4 sessions and hit 100% for the length of each session happy days

My best lap was only 1:22 which is not that fast. The car is capable of a lot more I just need to learn how to drive it ;) I brake too early and then just roll into the corners way to slow!

I need to repair the wing and stop the gearbox weeping oil, I suspect (well hope) my air vent hole is bunged up, and then I would like to plan another half day closer to home (weather permitting) later this year....maybe Brands Hatch if you want to come an play?

Sure, happy to come and give some tuition. For reference my quickest lap at Blyton from a standing start is a 66 sec run.
