Club track days

Postby adithorp » Mon May 18, 2015 11:22 pm

At the AGM I said I'd follow up a conversation I'd had with MoT (formerly MazdaOnTrack) about targeting some of their days as "JPSC days". The idea being the club would subsidise members entry for the target event and maybe they could give us a member discount across the board whether it's a club day or not.

They've come back to me with what I think is a generous offer... but also a bit of a challenge! (forget the club subsidy for now; we'll come back to that later)

They'll give us £20 discount on their Blyton track day on 13th June and their Sprint Day (come and try it type thing) there on 19th September on condition we try and get 5 members to each... and if we succeed they'll then give us discounts off other their events. I've provisionally agreed to give it a go and they're going to set up a discount code for us.

The challenge is it's short notice for the 13th (and I know some will be at LeMans)... So who's up for a day at Blyton next month?

Blyton is a great track but it is a long way away for me.

Yeah, sorry about that Jeff+Niel but thats the offer they made. They have a few more venues inc Brands, Oulton, Cadwell, etc for the future.
The Sat13thJune day would be just £115 which is cheap for a summer weekend.

Just to add, the Club will subsidise this to members to the tune of another £20.
We really need to get at least 5 there though, I'll be in Le Mans though...

Sounds like cracking deal but my car is still 12 months away from turning a wheel in anger (let alone with engine power!)

Sounds Great , count me in. I may be able to get a mate with a GBS Zero to tag along if numbers need making up
although I appreciate that he is not part of the JPSC fold, I was gutted to miss the one that you arranged last year
but my nephews wedding was more important ( apparently )

Cheers Paul

Be good if you can. No problem with your mate and it'd only cost him a £5 to join. We're not exclusive and he wouldn't be the first not to be a JP car owner.

I'm waiting on confirmation of the discount code and will update when it goes live.
