Thanks for that . I don't think I'd notice 4 bhp difference , certainly not on the road . I'm happy enough as it is as I'm not chasing numbers and the cars fast enough for me at the moment .

I've edited my last post to say "secondaries" (which is correct) rather than the "primaries" I wrote. It's an age thing (or maybe the vin rouge )

Have you got a list of dates and venues for the sprints ? Do you compete in any other series as well as the WSCC series ? I need to get my ar5e in gear and come and spectate .

Chris and I are out again at MIRA (Nuneaton) on Saturday...........

I also go in the RAF Motor Sport Association Speed Challenge, which is held at Barkston Heath, near Grantham.

Hi John

We got on well -- 1st & 2nd in a class of about 10 (best time: 50.76s). However, I regret to say that our most capable competition (Paul and Kevin Jones in their Westie*) stuck the car in the tyres before recording a representative time. Most of the rest of the class were on 1A tyres or armed with Crossflows, and were posting times in the 55-60s range, which made it feel a bit like "pot hunting".

Luckily, it would seem that the Jones' problems are essentially limited to the offside front corner, so normal tight competition will be resumed soon.

* Against the Jones boys we were 2:1 up so far this year (prior to MIRA), and there has never been more than a few tenths in it

Another good result then As they say to finish first, first you need to finish

Will have to try and get to watch some sprinting this year if I can .
