Pedal boxes

Morning All.

Now the car is all back together and refreshed cosmetically somewhat, am looking to perfect a few other areas.

The pedals have always been an issue for me in our car as they lay out does not allow for heel and toe very easily with me having to over compensate. It We've had the pedals adjusted a few times now and we're getting closer... however Im beginning to come to the conclusion that we may be better of buying a new pedal box. The pedals are currently top mounted however most kit car pedal boxes I am seeing are floor mounted.

So...

What pedals boxes are you guys running, especially those of you who track or race.

Many thanks

Top mounted -- many people opine that floor mounted is better, but I'm happy.

Hmmm so split opinion. Are the pedals in the correct position for heel and toe? Or you having to over stretch or come off brake to blip throttle?

Top mounted here too, and can heel and toe no problem. I think the key is both the gap between pedals and having the throttle set slightly further away from the driver than the brake, don't really see how floor mounted will make a big difference...

I can heel and toe no problem with a top mount with my dainty size 8s

It's much more about the distance between brake and throttle , also setting the throttle so that with any play taken up on the brake , before real pressure --- both pedals are level .
I only changed from my original build of top mounted Escort doner to floor mounted , when wanting to go all hydraulic plus dump the SYLVA type tower that housed all pedals . Also it tidied up the bulkhead area.

Rob,

Have you got any pictures of your current set up? Were they a custom set of pedals or an off the shelf jobbie.
