Depending on what sort of history you're after and the amount of time you have. You can fill in a V888 DVLA form which is a request for information. I used it to get copies of all the paperwork regards previous owners that they held. It took 6 months but eventually a large envelope full of copies of the V5(c)'s and various other bits of paper. I then used 192.com to see if any of the names and addresses still matched, about 8 of the 13 previous owners did still match. I wrote a letter to each including a pic of the car as now was as it had seen major modification in the 80's and 90's and about 5 people got back in touch including the guy who threw the build history away doch!

Searching Google images with "Sylva striker" in quotes brings up a number with the chin, and IIRC the spare striker bonnet I have in my parents shed has it too, the bonnet I have was off an early one.

Yeah i've seen a few on pics with the 'chin'. I dont mind it but just wondered if there was a reason why it had it. Just a change? fabricated by someone else or so on??
Going to eventually have it made into a two piece as it is a right pain in the behind to take on and off! especially in the garage!

All the Strikers I've ever seen have had that ' chin ' , so maybe it's a pre - RAW nose cone

Good point. Just seen some one piece bonnet items without the chin and assumed they were Sylva and not Raw but I wonder if Raw made the one piece originally?

IIRC the pic below is that of the 'first' or certainly very early Sylva Striker and note it has no chin . . . why not give JP, the man himself a buzz,
