Here we go again, Sylva No3

Well old habits die hard and the old Sylva thing always tempts, like the ‘just once more’ when the addict is trying to come clean and kick the habit
So this is No 3, 18½ years after I bought my first Striker and 16 months after selling the Phoenix
So it’s a 1997 SVA’d Striker, xflow on 40s with some race cam. Engine spec unknown, but ‘about’ 120bhp at the wheels. Was built by a fella in Kettering, Michael Goode I think it was, possibly to race and maybe he did a few races in it. Nice basic/classic cooking spec. 13” 4 spoke Rev’s on 32 or 48Rs, solid disc front and drums rear, no idea on diff, full screen and hood, 5 speed box, RS2000 alloy bell housing, basic fibreglass shells, without any covering. Some nice touches such as R/J’d long gear lever and Elliot tacho
A very brief assessment for the MOT:- battery, rear indicator lens [it’s cracked- any idea what they were off?- mini?], ignition switch [owner left the keys in Barcelona], front number plate & a mirror or two
It needs a good clean as it’s just dusty really, is mostly tidy tho, a fuel gauge [there isn’t one!- would be more useful than the ammeter that’s fitted!] and a set of air filters wouldn’t go a miss. I’ve not seen it running, last ran 10 months ago
Need to do a safety check over, but don’t think it will need much, has been dry stored and has done 200 miles in 12 years since it’s last MOT, that’s assuming the speedo cable is still there and working. Will add to the thread as I progress with what I find
