Electronic Speedo Sender on a Live Axle Striker

Hi All - my very first post, so please bear with me......
I am finally nearing the end of what may be one of the longest kit builds in history, mainly because I went overseas just after I bought the kit from Jeremy. It is (will be....) an Escort Ghia Mk II-based Striker, with a 1700cc X-Flow, rebuilt courtesy of Vulcan. As you may imagine, I have had a few issues to attend to because of the age of the original kit, such as fitting new seat belt mountings to conform to current legislation.
Anyway, to get back to my question, I have fitted an ETB electronic speedo, and decided to fit the sender unit on a bracket above the magnets on the prop-shaft at the gearbox end, reasoning that, being a live axle set-up, fitting at the diff end wasn't an option due to the inherent movement of the prop-shaft/axle.
However, a chance conversation with ETB has highlighted that the gearbox (Escort Sport), being on a rubber mount, is just as likely to move around, and whack the sender and/or magnets, something I stupidly hadn't considered.
Can anyone recommend the best way to fit the sender unit on a live-axle Striker.
Thanks a lot
Ian
