Fury top front wishbones

Postby mazie » Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:17 pm

Hi all and a happy new year, been rebuilding parts of the car and noticed 3-4mm of play on the top inner bush. It means the caster angle is changing, is it a norm for shims to be here? If so I presume i should check the caster and add accordingly?

Everythings right so was possibly thinking the mounts have bent.

Any help much appreciated.

Any help much appreciated.

I think you need to say something Rob rather than quoting the OP ;)

Read it closely again and you'll see I've added a question after he says '' Everything's all right '' --- starting with OR

Hi again, took a second look to see what was written, the bolt is done up tight, no more room to tighten further within bending the mounts in, it does not look as if the mounts have bent. maybe it has always been like this and I have not noticed since the purchase. Ill try Steve at fury sports.

Later Furys have spacer washers on the front rocker pivot. That allows the caster to be altered by varying the number of spacer washers in front/behind the rocker. Think theres six washers on mine giving 10-15mm of adjustment. Could be some of those missing. Think it was introduced by TheKitCarWorkshop.
A few people have modded/shortened the rocker tube on older ones to allow this but only achieved a small amount of adjustment
