Winter Woes

I'm guessing this isnt a good find !, but better found when the car is SORN'd off road.

Went this route for oil cooler pipes as I could decide the pipe route, cut the tube & fit the ends "on the car".
The oil has backed up around the union & oil pressure has expanded the oil into the outer jacket.
At the moment its just dripping, but only a matter of time before it splits & dumps the oil on the floor.
Its genuine mocal tube & fittings, so wasnt cheap, so somewhat disappointed !!

So its off to break the bank @ Merlin & get some swaged pipes made now.
Unless someone has some better ideas ??

Can't you get some standard hydraulic lines made up cheaper than the motorsport stuff?

When Steve at Fury Sportscars added a oil cooler to mine it was done using Hyraulic lines made up by a local company....doesn't leak and was a lot cheaper than the motorsport stuff.

HI Matt
I have a length of the same pipe in black which never cause me any issues, if you let me know the length i will send it to you if long enough. I do not need it anymore as my new car has different fittings on it.
jump pm me if you want it.
Simon
