Anyone fitted a F20C into a Striker Chassis? Interested to learn what chassis mods where required (if any) and if a dry sump was needed for the height.

It's been done. I'm sure Martin at RAW did it a few years ago.
Have been thinking along same lines myself. Not a fan of the current zetec so thats out, might end up bike again.

Have wondered this myself as it is a good engine but is it not too big for or cars? Also would the box from it fit?
Interesting

I have seen a bell housing to mate it to type 9. Dry sump to help with height might be good idea as well. ££££££££££££££££££

Dry sump and a Type 9 bellhousing. Direct to head throttle bodies and a third party ECU....A reliable 255+BHP with a 9K redline

Has me thinking....

the power curve looks the same as my engine, I get 272bhp at 7800rpm, would be interesting to see what the 2.3 engine puts out and also how much it all costs. At the Exeter show i saw the striker with the s2000 engine in that sprints(i did not realise it was a s2000 engine until seeing the pictures), i have a picture on my phone so will upload it to show you how high the engine is plus all the rest of the bits sticking out of it

The S2k gearbox is great too, wonder if you could make use of that aswell? I was changing the gearbox oil on my oh's S2000 the other weekend and I don't remember the gearbox being that big.
The engine is fantastic, but very tall and it's also very well optimised in it's standard form (you don't get 237bhp out of a 2.0l engine and leave easy gains in induction and exhaust tuning!). I'd be surprised if you can reach 255bhp from just throttle bodies and ECU. You can always supercharge it of course though, a friend had a supercharged S2000 that was over 400bhp...

ITBs/No-Cat/Decent Exhaust & custom map on a Omex/Emerald has to be +20BHP over stock.
S2K box requires chassis mods on the Fury (80mm on the passenger side) so it will take the same or more on the Phoenix. Plus it isn't really setup for 13" wheels on a 3.89 live axle.

Probably not worth messing with the chassis to get the gearbox, although a quick look in Gearcalc shows the ratios look ok. What gearbox do you have now?
The common modified Type 9s all have a 1:1 4th, which means you'd end up geared for around 150mph in 4th with your axle, 205/60/R13 tyres and a 9000RPM rev limit. That sounds like a lot to me and you'll be sacrificing acceleration everywhere carrying such long gears. Unless of course you're just traction limited the whole time with 255bhp, in which case the ratios don't make a lot of odds and changing gears less often is better I guess
