Good day yesterday

did a 300 mile round trip yesterday, and a came home with a lump, no prizes for what it is.

anyone fitted these with standard throttle body, i'm led to believe its a tight fit on the fury bonnet.

So what engine is it? That must have been one massive motorbike.

its just a common all garden, 2.0l zetec, will need a clutch arrangement to fit type 9, which I understand is from a 1.6/1.8 mondeo, + spigot bearing & clutch release bearing. will also need a alternate sump, if anyone could recommend one.

Raceline's is very good and looks the part but Dunnell's is cheaper with more capacity and with hindsight I would gp for his .

next question. will an rs2000 alloy bellhousing fit in a fury?

Depends how far foraward you want the engine - Trouble with the Rs bellhousing is the double starter motor lumps that make it hard work to get it to fit in the tunnel - I had a RS bellhousing in a Narrow esty and engine was further forward than I would have liked - However they are far better than the stock iron bell. If spending money on one then there are narrower ones that allow better fitting.

thanks Darkspeed, did have a look on burton and rally design, but couldn't see an alternative. Did you have somewhere in mind? otherwise I'll ring the aforementioned and ask.

The small pulley, visbile below the alternator, is damaged, I'm led to believe this can be used as a "jockey wheel", in order ensure the water pump spins the right way. Anyone know what ford would refer to this as, an ebay search for jockey wheels turns up lots of things that belong on shopping trolleys!

There are alternatives from other manufacturers on ebay, but not sure about fitment/ belt compatibility.

If anyone has one lying around they don't need i'd send some beer tokens,

Find yourself a 1.8lt zetec water pump then you're sorted --- standard Raceline recommended route .

even on a black top? was led to believe 1.8 & 2.0 water pumps were the same.

OK, i'm getting there now, with the aircon pump and p/s removed, there will be no suitable pulley for the belt to loop round, allowing the plane side of the belt to engage the water pump in the right direction. the little pulley to the left and below the alternator is damaged (on my photo above), but could be replaced, and then needs to be remounted above and to the right of the water pump. such as this:

the confusion over the water pump, seems to be you can swap it for an earlier version rotating the right way on a silver top, but this won't fit a black top. u.s water pumps seems too much hassle for me.
